Oven Dwell Time Calculator

Enter your oven set point, part details, and the powder's cure schedule to estimate how long parts need to stay in a gas-fired convection oven to reach full cure.

from powder TDS
Credit partial cure achieved during ramp-up Metal starts curing before it fully reaches the target temperature. This reduces the hold time needed once the part gets there. Uncheck for a simpler, more conservative estimate.
Pick a second point below your cure target — e.g. the minimum recommended minutes at a metal temp 15–30°F cooler — since that's the range the part actually passes through on the way up. This fits the ramp's pre-cure rate to your real powder instead of a generic assumption. Leave blank to use a typical industry default (cure time roughly halves every 20°F above the cure target).

How to use this: this is a thermal estimate for flat-ish, thin-to-moderate gauge parts. Heavy castings, boxed/tubular sections, and dense rack loading will run longer than shown here. Always confirm actual part metal temperature with a thermocouple or profiler (e.g. Datapaq) before setting production line speed, and build in a safety margin.
